I am a geographer and sustainability expert with extensive international project experience. My work focuses on climate action, climate adaptation, sustainable mobility, and the question of how we can create resilient and sustainable habitats. I combine technical expertise and strategic project development with strong media and communication skills.

I studied Geography, Media Studies and Social Sciences at Paderborn University. This interdisciplinary background continues to shape the way I work: analysing complex spatial and societal challenges, developing innovative solutions, and communicating change in an accessible and effective way.

My professional expertise ranges from climate and environmental protection, climate adaptation and sustainable mobility to ecosystem and protected area management, regional development, sustainable tourism, environmental education and strategic communication. I also have extensive experience in developing and producing media and content for online, print and television, including award-winning environmental education projects based on innovative approaches to communication and knowledge transfer.

Since 2001, I have worked as an independent consultant and producer for United Nations organisations. My international projects have taken me particularly to East Africa, the Arabian Peninsula and the Indo-Pacific region. In 2005, I founded INTEWO | World Habitat Society GmbH, which I managed as Managing Partner. From 2016 onwards, I also served as Chief Content Officer for the green-building start-up LivingCon.

Since February 2023, I have been responsible for Climate Action, Mobility and Sustainability at the Municipality of Schlangen, Germany. My role combines strategy with implementation – from climate mitigation and adaptation to sustainable mobility, the energy and heat transition, and sustainable municipal development. Project development, funding, stakeholder engagement and strategic communication are integral parts of my work.

My professional base is in East Westphalia-Lippe, Germany, while my work and networks remain international and interdisciplinary. Connecting these different fields and regions is my mission #HabitatManagement: creating sustainable and resilient places, enabling transformation, and connecting people, knowledge and perspectives.
