In the frame of their Summer Training in Germany, four Sultan Qaboos University students from SQU’s tourism department gave a presentation about Oman. On invitation of the CDU local union in Schlangen, Shamma, Amira, Ali and Azher provided a detailed presentation of their home country, introducing the natural and cultural diversity of Oman. The successful event was a great promotion of the Sultanate, a country of 1001 nights. Next to the presentation, which was held in German language, the students also offered Omani sweets and frankincense and took the guests on a virtual visit to Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Finally the movie „Oman – A Land of Variety“ was shown to the audience and with support of the Oman Embassy in Berlin, a selection of promotional material about Oman was provided. The event was closed with a lively discussion session between the students and the audience.
